David W. Masse
David Masse is an associate attorney practicing in civil litigation and criminal defense. Mr. Masse has litigated numerous disputes in state and federal court, from personal injury to civil rights, administrative law, employment law, contract disputes, creditor's rights, and union disputes. He currently serves as part time public defender for the City of Gary in addition to his private practice.
Mr. Masse is a former Marine Non-Commissioned Officer, having served from 1990 – 1995, and 1997, mainly in the Pacific Theatre, as a member of the 11th Counterintelligence Team during his tour in the fleet Marine force.

Mr. Masse received his B.A. in Political Science in 1998 from Western Michigan University, graduating Cum Laude. He then earned his Juris Doctor Degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in May 2003, finishing in the top 25% of his class.
While at Valparaiso University School of Law, Mr. Masse served as a member of the Valparaiso Moot Court team for two years, and was one of two winning team members in the Swygert Moot Court competition for advanced oral advocacy, judged by members of the Indiana Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Also, Mr. Masse placed as a quarterfinalist at the National First Amendment Moot Court oral argument competition in Nashville, Tennessee, having earned one of the top scores in brief writing for that competition.
